“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.
Revelation 3:20 NLT
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
Psalms 30:5 NLT
Today is #HolySaturday. For us we think of it as the last day to get our #Easter stuff, but many years ago this was a day of #mourning for #JesusChrist lay dead in the tomb.
So if you have lost someone Mourn them today be sad today. But only for a bit because we know what they didnt the 1st #HolySatuday……he is alive! #JesushasRisen!
We have been saved from our #sins and have the pleasure of #eternity! So no need to be sad for long! As the #Psalm say weeping may be at night but #JOY comes in the morning ! #Easter #ressurectionsunday
We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!’”
Luke 15:32 NLT
My Lent study devotional had us read this story today. One of the study questions was
“Is their a time you were shown mercy after doing something you weren’t supposed to do? How did that make you feel?”
Uuuummmm thats basically my whole life! All I’ve ever done is mess up and yet God shows me Mercy EVERY DAY. Praise and Glory to him! I’m sure they wanted me to think specifically but I’m like there’s to much 😂😂😂 Happy Friday, stay Safe!
Jesus replied, “Is this your own question, or did others tell you about me?”
John 18:34 NLT
I love moments like this when Jesus appears so real & human. You can almost picture him sitting in his cell…..hands grasped……looking at the floor (praying probably) And then Pilate comes in & asks him a dumb question & you can see jesus look at him almost side eye like & say this. Just reminds how much like us he was. It helps me remember that while he is God he came down to be like us and suffer like us and he does know what we go thru. Moment like this I the bible always give me a smile.
Make sure you don’t take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship—a different kind of “sacrifice”—that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets.
