casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7 NASB
I just LOVE this verse. Cast all your anxiety on. The Bible is literally telling me that I can give every single thing that makes me worry two Jesus and wash my hands of it. It doesn’t just say all your worries about the big stuff. It’s not telling me to not worry. It’s telling me to give all my worries to Jesus and he will help me take care of them. I love our God.
In less then 5 days man & I celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. It may not seem like a lot for some but it’s kind of a big deal for us. I still remember they day we finally set a wedding date. We have both had a long journey to get to this point together and separately . There was a lot of pain, poor choices ,and dark days for each of us. But here we are.
Man, I love you more then I could ever put into words on a blog, card or text. Thanks for taking such good care of Baby Logan, B, & I all the time. I’m blessed God gave me you and look forward to not only two more years but many. Xoxoxo.
Loved reading this this morning. It’s always so comforting to me to know that life goes in seasons. I am unsure what season I am currently in, but it is good to know that God has it all figured out. That there is a reason and a plan for it.
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven-
Ecclesiastes 3:1 NASB
“But be on guard, so that your hearts are not weighed down and depressed with the giddiness of debauchery and the nausea of self-indulgence and the worldly worries of life, and then that day [when the Messiah returns] will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who live on the face of all the earth. But keep alert at all times [be attentive and ready], praying that you may have the strength and ability [to be found worthy and] to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man [at His coming].”
LUKE 21:34-36 AMP
We can’t just live our lives, sharing bible verses on social media, donating to the Christian radio stations, and telling people “we will pray for you ” when things are bad. We have to actually do the things that we talked about doing. When we come to know Jesus we have to live our lives in a way that shows we have been changed.
We can no longer be of this world but living in this world with a purpose to spread God’s love. It is not enough to just talk the talk when it come to Jesus. We must walk the walk and all we do.
Therefore produce fruit that is worthy of [and consistent with your] repentance [that is, live changed lives, turn from sin and seek God and His righteousness]. And do not even begin to say to yourselves [as a defense], ‘We have Abraham for our father [and so our heritage assures us of salvation]’; for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children (descendants) for Abraham [for God can replace the unrepentant, regardless of their heritage, with those who are obedient].

For years I have been anti Valentine’s Day. Even now that man is literally the best Valentine you could ask for still been pretty anti Valentine’s Day.
However this year something hit me right in the face and I’ve had a change of heart. Man set me a pin of a template to make homemade religious-based Valentine for baby Logan’s class. And all the sudden I realized that Valentine’s Day could be another tool used to spread the love of Jesus. Why had I never thought of this before!?!?
Jesus is whole story is All About Love. And what better way to spread the story of his love then on a day dedicated to love. So I made those religious-based Valentine’s Day cards not only for baby Logan’s class but we gave them to our Starbucks Baristas and I gave them to my folks at work.
It is only a small corner of the world this year but perhaps as my years go on I can remember not to be so cynical about this day being created by the candy companies and use it as another tool to spread God’s love. Because let’s face it over the next several years the Need For Love will be more important than ever.
Happy Valentine’s Day. Jesus loves you.
