I’ve been working on eating cleaner at home lately. And I’ve had a lot of really good successes. My cauliflower cheese sticks and some of the cauliflower and low carb pizza crust I’ve made have been awesome!
I really enjoyed subbing out cauliflower rice from Aldi for regular rice in my lunch.
For the last several weeks I’ve been experimenting with lower carb and lower sugar desserts. They haven’t been very successful.
I did make some black bean brownies that were absolutely amazing! But then I made a berry cobbler that was horrible! And these cookies that are not cookies whatsoever more like a baked oatmeal.
I made some pumpkin cake with almond flour and coconut sugar and swerve. My friend who is on the keto diet loved it but it was not my cup of tea.
So I think why I’m going to continue to try and make cleaner eating choices especially for things like pizza and on daily decisions.
But I’m going to go back to making some good old-fashioned desserts. I think next weekend I’ll make the family chocolate chip cookies that are normal.
I might still experiment by making a batch with coconut flour or coconut sugar or something like that. But I think that for the time being I’ll make desserts that are actually desert but just eat less of them 🙂
